Coming Soon!

Sorry to tease you like that…

Virtual cooking courses tentatively launching January 2026!

(or sooner if I can get my sh*t together)

If this is something you’d be interested in, take a peek at this page and add your email to the sign up box to get first access to classes!

what to expect

  • 5 weeks of self guided, module based, culinary instruction focused on the holistic view of cooking, called “cooking theory”

each week tackles a new theme, gradually building onto the skills from the week before

  • 2-3 weekly recipes that correspond to that week’s instructional themes

all are done in 1 hour or less!

  • realistic, stress free, instruction that encourages self growth and allows you to move at your own speed

  • in depth course content in a mix of formats - some video, but mostly text, to allow you to fit learning into your busy day and pick up where you left off

  • access to a virtual group full of likeminded culinary hopefuls looking to share tips and recipes in their learning journeys (cute group name tbd)

  • .. and so much more!

who knows! it’s still a work in progress! tell me what you want to see!

Sound like fun?

Whether you’re new to cooking and want to add some skills, or you admittedly know nothing and are intimidated about where to begin, this is for you.

need a little bit more convincing?

  • In the same vein that “music theory” is the study of music and it’s art (vs learning an instrument - aka the act of actually practicing that skill), “cooking theory” is less skills focused and more about the world of cooking, recipes, ingredients, and reasoning.

A quick google for “cooking theory” will tell you that this idea is mostly about food science - for me, it’s about teaching you the reasons why we do things, how to build flavor, how to read recipes, and how to get enough knowledge to just wing it.

  • short answer: yes

long answer: I have spent the last three years teaching public cooking classes and have learned a lot about what types of skills and knowledge many ‘normal’ people are looking for. There’s a huge gap in the culinary education market - all of the videos and content made by chefs for the general public are focused on teaching you ~fancy~ chef techniques that are likely more complicated and advanced than you need or are ready for. My goal is to meet you where you are, and solve your individual pain points to get you cooking more.

I made this for YOU. Wherever you currently are in your cooking journey, whatever skills you have, whatever your problems are, I’ve got you covered. We’re a young family with two working parents, a toddler, a dog, two bunnies, a house, and lots of responsibilities - even my own chef training can’t overcome all of that to effortlessly put dinner on the table every night.

  • Truthfully, I have too much to teach you, and it’s doing both of us a disservice to distill it down into one class.

This is the type of learning that is lifelong. I believe that spreading out these courses over 5 weeks will move at a more comfortable pace, allowing you to actually stick with it, and have plenty of time in between lessons to practice and hone your skills. I’ve picked the five most important topics in each course theme to give you the most well rounded amount of knowledge and send you off into the world a little more confident.

  • While these courses will be a paid service, I’m still in the very beginning phases of curriculum and content writing, so I don’t have an answer just yet. My goal is to keep them accessible, while also valuing the skills and knowledge that I know you will gain.
